Link Categories

Link Categories provide an easy way to tag and target links, enabling you to drive highly personalized communications based on the subscriber’s/ customer’s known interests. You can use link categories to group links together by similar themes or interests. By capturing activity at the link-level, you are able to deliver future articles and offers that pave the way for relevant life-cycle messaging.

Link Categories also allow you to create customized reporting through Mailing Analytics. For example, you may use Link Categories to determine the click-through rates across different advertisers for specific ad positions, or to evaluate how specific pieces of content perform across different campaigns.

Note: Creating subcategories allows users to dive deeper into their link-level data, either for retargeting purposes or for enhanced reporting. For example, users may create a parent category called ‘Leaderboard’ and a subcategory for each of the advertisers running in that ad position for the month. At month’s end, the client may pull advertiser-specific reporting through Mailing Analytics.
